Menlo Park, 10th August 2022 - Permira, the global private equity firm, today announced the appointment of Koen Köppen as a Senior Adviser to its global technology team, focusing on software and fintech.
Koen is currently Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Mollie, a leading digital payment service provider, which he joined earlier this year. At Mollie, he is responsible for the reliability, scalability and development of the company’s technology platforms. Prior to joining Mollie, Koen spent over a decade at Klarna, where he held several leadership positions before becoming its CTO in 2017. He is also a Board member at GoCardless, a leading alternative payment methods provider.
At Permira, Koen will use his experience, deep industry expertise and network to support investment origination and value creation across the portfolio, including the partnerships with leading fintech and payments companies such as Klarna, GoCardless, Carta, Clearwater Analytics and Housecall Pro.
