Richard Sanders

Richard is a member of the Executive Committee, and serves on the Investment Committees of the Buyout and Growth Opportunities Funds, in both cases as co-Chair. He was head of the Global Technology team from 2010-2023. He is based in London, but spent several years in the US where he helped set up the Menlo Park office. He is currently Executive Committee sponsor for the firm’s investment activities in Climate. He is also the Chairman of the Permira Foundation.

He has worked on numerous transactions including ABS, Adevinta, Allegro, Ancestry Boats Group, Freescale Semiconductor, Genesys, Inmarsat, Intelsat, NDS, Synamedia, TeamViewer and Teraco.

He is also a Board member of Mercado Libre (NASDAQ: MELI).

Prior to joining Permira, Richard worked for Morgan Stanley in London in the M&A and High Yield Capital Markets divisions.
